free choice learning task 2016 week 8

The bamboo forest

Once I walked into the bamboo forest I saw trees And leaves And the smoothest bamboo you ever saw. There were loads of children making  noise. It looks fun it sounds fun BUT it's Dangerous because you can get knocked over by the running kids playing running games. When someone gets injured A teacher blows a whistle and all the kids run out of the bamboo forest and sit at the teacher's feet.

And the teachers say to all of the kids (“who made this person cry?”) the teachers gives us a warning and tells us don't do it again.

The bamboo felt hard and smooth. The ground felt squishy because the wet dew from the trees and the dirt makes mud that's why the ground was squishy. I felt the leafs they felt like soft rubber and wet paper because of the dew going on to the leaf.I felt my legs and arms and they were slippery and wet because too much bug repellent. Because the mosquitos are sucking my blood to death.

I could smell bug repellent all round and bugs on the ground. And the trees and the bushes.

I could taste the bug repellent in the air. Everywhere I go is bug repellent in the air.

The Bamboo Forest is a great place you just have to be peppered with bug repellent, and friends to play with. Thank you for reading this.

Thank You
George Taylor.

My Best Learning

This is my best task

Camp letter

18 Tilapia Place
Havelock North

Dear Eden

Thank you so much for coming to camp and giving time off work to come to camp. I really appreciate it. Thank you  for driving me and the boys everywhere. Thank you so much for setting the fire up for Rimu and cooking our deserts.

My favorite thing was making desserts My one was the banana split. A banana cut longways then stuff it with marshmallows and chocolate chips then you wrap it in tin foil  2 or 3 layers. when I have desserts like this It grosses me out on the first bite and then it's okay.

My second favorite thing was the riverwalk. I know I was not in your group but it was still fun. The fun part of it was the deep parts of the river and the current was quite fun as well.
And when I got out I still felt the current pushing on my legs.

Another thanks for coming to camp and giving time off work to help us with camp. And thanks for driving me to camp and to everywhere where we had to go.Thanks for coming on camp.

Thank you
George Taylor.

I am proud of this because It took a long time to make.
My biggest challenge was punctuation because it is tricky for me..

Free choice Week 8 2016

I like skiing.

I like skiing because you get to go really fast down a snowy mountain. And you get to do cool tricks off snow ramps. I usually go to Mt Ruapehu to go skiing and we ski at Whakapapa. But It is really worth it to go to Taupo and going on mountains to ski. It's really fun to ski. Here's a question for you "Have you gone skiing before?".
Just a reminder it's really fun to ski. I think you should try it for Yourself. You get to go to the top of the mountain and ski down it and the best part YOU get to ski all day long!! Really fun I think you should try it.
